Job summary

FedEx Group in the United Kingdom is hiring a Dispatch Agent to manage courier schedules, routes, and daily operations. You will coordinate a team of couriers, monitor the delivery cycle, and ensure accurate data is entered into our systems for on-time pickups and deliveries.

You will support couriers, resolve issues, and communicate with customers as needed. The role emphasises accuracy, attention to detail, and proactive problem solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating a team in a busy transport/dispatch environment.
  • Good Microsoft Office & PC skills.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Focused on accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare courier schedules and routes.
  • Coordinate the distribution of work among couriers to meet station goals efficiently.
  • Monitor the daily delivery cycle and update systems for accurate execution of picks and deliveries.
  • Provide support to couriers and help resolve issues.
  • Contact customers when needed to obtain information or advise on service issues.
  • Proactively report issues in the cycle and compile productivity and performance reports.

37.5 hours per week

Salary £31,603.14 pa

Hours of work 1200-2000 Monday to Friday

What you will be doing
  • Preparing courier schedules and routes
  • Coordinating the distribution of work amongst couriers helping them to achieve station's operational goals in the most efficient way
  • Monitoring the daily delivery cycle, updating systems with accurate information to ensure correct execution of the daily pick-up and delivery assignments
  • Providing support to the couriers and assisting them with issues resolution
  • Contacting customers when needed to obtain additional information or advise on potential service-related issues
  • Proactively reporting any issues that occurred during the daily delivery cycle to the management and compiling reports on station's productivity, volumes and performance
