Job summary

North Georgia Electric Membership Corporation seeks an Apprentice Line Worker – Level One to join our Operations team, with location TBD across our four offices. The role emphasizes safe, de-energized-line work under supervision, hands-on learning, and on-the-job training to advance through the program within 18 months.

Candidates will begin developing critical skills while supporting crew safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to complete Level One apprentice program exams and labs.
• Possess and maintain a valid Georgia Class A CDL and DOT certification.

Responsibilities

• Learn to work de-energized circuits from the pole, aerial device, or ground.
• Fabricate pole assemblies on ground and de-energized poles.
• Demonstrate proficiency and safety when maneuvering on the pole and performing work.
• Learn line voltages and wear PPE when exposed to hazards.
• Follow safety rules and regulations including DOT and PSC requirements.
