Position – Union: Line Troubleshooter 2/C (36 months) (1/C T&D acceptable)

Number of open positions: 1

Location: ME - Brunswick - Service Bldg

Responsibilities

  • Safely performs all types of transmission and distribution pole line work, including climbing poles, installing or maintaining crossarms, pins, insulators, wires and cable, transformers, cutouts, lightning arrestors, and related equipment.
  • Works on energized lines and equipment in accordance with Company’s Distribution and/or Transmission Standards and Safety Regulations.
  • Assumes responsibility for emergency duty with minimal supervision and directs activities of lower-rated workers. Shares standby duties of the area.
  • Prepares and maintains necessary records and performs other assigned work.

Skills and Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved vocational school, institute, or college with acceptable grades in electrical and line worker training, or equivalent experience to Line Worker 2C or above.
  • Valid Class A driver’s license required unless previously held a Class B license before 7/1/2009, with a good safety record.
  • Subject to company’s random drug and alcohol testing policy.
  • Reside within 45 minutes of reporting location or willing to relocate within nine months and available for emergency assignments.
  • Practice company safety policies and procedures.
  • Capable of performing all essential functions of the role.
