Blue Ridge Energy is seeking an Apprentice Line Technician III or higher to work hands-on in the construction, maintenance, and repair of our electric distribution and transmission system in Boone, NC. You will join a cooperative that values teamwork and safety, and you will progress through an structured apprenticeship with increasing responsibilities.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent; Line Technology degree preferred for advancement.
• CDL with safe driving record and DOT physical required.
• Strong knowledge of line work practices, equipment, and safety standards.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine work on secondary and primary voltages on energized lines under supervision.
• Learn to install transformers, reclosers, capacitors, and voltage regulators.
• Operate and maintain aerial bucket trucks, digger derricks, and other line equipment.
• Assist in substation and underground distribution system work.
• Read system maps, specifications, wiring diagrams, and electrical codes.
