Job summary

Florida Tech is seeking a Line Services Technician to be the first point of contact for customers, flight instructors, and students on the ramp. You will ensure aircraft are fueled and lubricated before flights and assist with passenger services.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the supervisor, adhering to FAA/TSA rules, and performing light maintenance and support duties around the hangar and ramp area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Training in 14 CFR 139.321 preferred.
• Previous customer service experience and aviation knowledge preferred.
• Must read, understand, and interpret instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Clean ground support vehicles and equipment.
• Operate ground power unit for external electrical power.

The Line Services Technician will be the first point of contact forF.l.T. Aviation's customers, Flight Instructors and students on ourramp. Line Service Technicians are responsible for assuring thatall F.l.T. Aviation aircraft are properly fueled and oiled beforeeach flight.

Responsibilities Include:

• Ensure that proper Federal Aviation Authority andTransportation Security Administration rules and regulations arefollowed at all times
• Marshal aircraft to and from parking area using internationalhand signals
• Provides exemplary customer service to all fight arrivalmembers
• Maintains fuel storage farm and comply with all quality controlprocedures
• Drives refueling trucks and towing equipment
• Provides fuel service for reciprocating engine airplanes andhelicopters with low lead aviation gasoline using 1,000 through3,000 gallon fuel trucks
• Assists passengers with luggage load and unload, asnecessary
• Maintain two-way communication with customer service desk usingtwo-way radios
• Tows aircraft in and out of the hangar for servicing, repairs,storage and/or parking, as needed
• Cleans the interior and exterior of ground support vehicles andequipment, as needed
• Operates ground power unit for external electrical power
• Makes and delivers coffee, ice, catering, etc. to customers, asneeded
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to followprotocol for maintaining a safe working environment are of theutmost importance in this position
• Light equipment maintenance and general upkeep of airportfacilities
• Aircraft care and upkeep, including the wash and wax rotationof fleet
• Perform Coordinate all activities and complete all workrequired/assigned by D.O.M., Shift Supervisor or supervisingA&P Mechanics
• Duties may include:

• Shop equipment maintenance

Requirements Include:

• Must be able to use ladders, work stands, jacks, etc. and beable to work on all areas of the aircraft that may require accessduring performance of duties.
• Must be able to life, carry, or move aircraft componentsweighing up to 50 lbs.
• Physical requirements include stooping, kneeling, crouching,crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, and feeling
• Work is performed in the hangar, flight line or at remotelocations under various weather conditions with elevated noselevels
