Job summary

Atlantic Aviation in Sitka, AK is seeking a Line Service Technician to support aviation ground operations. You will fuel aircraft, marshal, tow, and provide lavatory/water services in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Expected duties include customer service, aircraft turning, and operating various ground support equipment. Must be 18+, have a valid driver’s license, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Multiple shifts, overtime, weekends, and on-call duties required.

Qualifications

• Be physically able to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Be comfortable working outdoors in aviation ground operations.

• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and receive fuel to and from tanks, vendor trucks, and aircraft.
• Operate ground support equipment such as lavatory/water carts and GPU.
• Perform ground marshalling using aviation signals.
• Assist with aircraft scheduling, fueling, and customer service.
• Assist with aircraft turning, loading, and unloading.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized facilities and grounds.
• Conduct daily/weekly safety inspections of equipment and site.
• Occasional travel to other Atlantic locations as needed.

Line Service Technician Responsibilities

• Deliver and receive fuel to and from company tanks, vendor trucks, and aircraft.
• Operate all company ground support equipment as requested or required, including lavatory and water service carts, ground power unit, deice truck, etc.
• Perform ground marshalling using standard aviation signals.
• Perform customer service activities such as helping customers with aircraft scheduling and fueling.
• Assist with aircraft turning, loading, and unloading.
• Ensure all buildings and grounds are safe, clean, and organized.
• Conduct or assists with daily/weekly onsite safety inspections and audits of equipment and facility operations.
• Occasional travel may be required to support another Atlantic location.
• You may be occasionally assigned to another Atlantic location based on geographical proximity as business needs require.

Line Service Technician Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• 18 years of age
• Avalid state driver’s license
• Be comfortable and physically able to work in an environment with frequent walking, stretching, bending, sitting, stooping, reaching, grasping, and climbing.
• Be physically able to perform heavy lifting on a regular basis up to 50 lbs.
