Job summary

Million Air Houston is seeking a Line Service Professional to deliver elite customer service to crew and passengers on the ground, fueling and positioning aircraft, assisting with luggage, and coordinating radio communications with the operations team.

This outdoor, shift-based role works in all weather, involves marshalling and towing aircraft, vehicle maintenance, and ensuring safe, clean ramps while meeting safety and background-check requirements.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred in service industries.
• At least 6 months of prior aircraft ground equipment handling experience.
• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Greet passengers and crewmembers upon arrival.
• Coordinate with coworkers, clients and vendors to provide ground services for general aviation aircraft, such as fueling and catering.
• Marshalling, towing and positioning aircraft on the ramp and in hangars.
• Fuel movement - quality control, disposal, and paperwork.
• Daily check and upkeep of crew cars and vehicles.
• Maintain safe, clean and secure ramps and operations.
• Drive a shuttle vehicle with passengers.
• Attend monthly crew meetings.
• Complete annual recurrent training.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Line Service Professional

• Greet passengers and crewmembers upon arrival
• Coordinate with coworkers, clients and vendors to provide ground services for general aviation aircraft, such as fueling, lavatory, ground power and potable water services, delivering catering.
• Marshalling, towing and positioning aircraft on the ramp and in hangars.
• Fuel movement- quality control, disposal, and paperwork
• Daily check and upkeep of crew cars and vehicles
• Maintain safe, clean and secure ramps and operations
• Drive a shuttle vehicle with passengers
• Monthly crew meetings
• Annual re-current training

Competencies

• Communicate with customers and employees in person, on phone, and through radio communications
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and be insurable by our insurance company (Requires clean driving record)
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft office products
• Basic mathematical knowledge
• Bi-linqual a plus, not required.

Reporting Relationship

This position reports to the Line Service Manager

Work Environment

This position works outside in all types of weather conditions and direct contact with both moving and non-moving aircraft. This position may be exposed to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, to include but not limited to:

• Must be able to lift 75 pounds
• Possible exposure to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery
• Outside work in all types of weather conditions
• Position may require bending, lifting, walking, stooping, squatting, gripping, and climbing a ladder
• 21 years+ with valid drivers license.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a non-exempt position

This position includes shift work which requires working evenings and weekends, and on scheduled company holidays.

• Customer service experience in the service industry preferred
• Prior aircraft ground equipment handling experience required. 6 months minimum.
• High School Diploma
