Position Summary

The Line Prep is responsible for preparing foods to be served to guests throughout the venue. The Line Prep will occasionally have direct contact with the public, working in areas such as a buffet line slicing meats or preparing dishes to order. The Line Prep must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $16.50-$17.50.

This is a seasonal role from July 2, 2025, to August 20, 2025.

This position will remain open until August 29, 2025.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, fresh food products in a timely manner for delivery to guests.
• Prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements.
• Participate as a team player with responsibilities related to preparation, service, and delivery of products.
• Report any maintenance required for kitchen equipment.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
• Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking.
• Portion, arrange, and garnish food plates for delivery to guests.
• Consult with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Supervisor to plan menus and estimate food consumption.
• Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications

• Previous cook or prep cook experience.
• Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment, including the broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef's knife.
• Effective communication skills with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management, and guests in a respectful manner.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Possess a valid food handling certificate if required by regulations.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
