Job summary

PrideStaff is seeking an experienced cook to prepare a variety of menu items following standard recipes and daily prep lists. You will setup prep stations, coordinate orders, manage inventory, and maintain sanitation across the kitchen while working under culinary leadership.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of kitchen experience, and a valid food safety certification. Culinary school or a 2-year degree can substitute for the experience requirement.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of kitchen preparation and cooking experience.
  • Alternative Experience: Sufficient culinary school education or a 2-year culinary degree replaces the experience requirement.
  • Certification: A valid food safety certification or permit is required.

Responsibilities

  • Station Setup: Takes inventory and sets up, maintains, and breaks down the prep station.
  • Food Preparation: Prepares menu items according to standard recipes and daily prep lists.
  • Order Coordination: Times and coordinates orders smoothly with other kitchen operations.
  • Inventory Management: Requisitions needed items and notifies the Sous Chef of expected shortages.
  • Sanitation: Keeps assigned work areas, tools, and equipment clean and sanitary.
  • Food Storage: Covers, dates, and neatly stores all reusable leftover products.
  • Kitchen Closing: Closes the kitchen properly using the standard closing checklist.
  • Team Collaboration: Attends staff meetings, offers improvement suggestions, and assists with extra duties.
  • Maintenance: Recommends repairs, maintenance, and upkeep for the line prep area and equipment.

Job Summary

Cooks and prepares a variety of food products, including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces, and stocks. Follows standard recipes and daily prep lists using various kitchen equipment and utensils under the direction of culinary leadership. Pay $20-$22 D.O.E.
