Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is hiring a Helicopter Pilot to provide medical air transportation. The role requires extensive flight hours, rotorcraft certification, and current medical clearance.

You will work a 7/7 schedule with on‑duty housing and eligibility for sign-on and retention bonuses. Responsibilities include safe transport with a medical team, aircraft readiness, and accurate documentation while coordinating with dispatch and partners.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current rotorcraft FAA commercial certificate and a helicopter instrument rating.
• Must maintain FAA Class II medical certificate and meet flight-hour requirements.
• Total flight hours and helicopter hours are required for qualification.

Responsibilities

• Transport customers with a team of medical experts for safe air movement.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for dispatch, following FAR and internal requirements.
• Maintain accurate regulatory documentation and record keeping.
• Communicate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift change info to the next pilot and team per protocol.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.

Salary range $97,634 - $107,398 including 10% Geo Modifier

$15K Sign on Bonus, subject to eligibility

Retention Bonus plans ($40,000 after 3 years plus additional retention bonuses once completed)

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of medical expertstosafelytransport customers to and fromlocations and facilities
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatchesas described in the appropriate manuals,includingallFARand Air Evac Lifeteamrequirements, andaircraft cleanlinessduties
• MaintainaccurateAEL and regulatorydocumentation andrecord keeping
• Effectively communicate and collaboratewith dispatch, flight crews,facilities,and partners
• Provide shift change infoto successive pilotandteam followingprotocol forrecordingAir Evac Lifeteam change boarddetails
• Accountable tomaintainrequiredcertifications and ongoing training

MinimumRequirements
