Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is hiring a rotorcraft pilot to join the emergency helicopter team. You will transport patients, ensure aircraft readiness, and maintain regulatory documentation while coordinating with dispatch and flight crews.

Qualified candidates hold a rotorcraft commercial certificate, rotorcraft instrument rating, and a current FAA Class II Medical Certificate, with thousands of flight hours and substantial rotorcraft experience. On-duty housing and strong retention bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• Requires a Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate.
• Requires rotorcraft instrument rating.
• Requires a current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
• Total flight hours: 2,000.
• Helicopter hours: 1,500.
• PIC helicopter hours: 1,000.
• Turbine helicopter hours: 500.
• Night hours: 100 unaided or 50 unaided with 100 hours aided.
• Weight limit: 230 lb with flight gear.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches per manuals, FARs, and Air Evac Lifeteam requirements, including aircraft cleanliness duties.
• Maintain accurate AEL and regulatory documentation and record keeping.
• Communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift change info to the next pilot and team following protocol for recording Air Evac Lifeteam change board details.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.

• Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
• Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording Air Evac Lifeteam change board details
• Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training

MinimumRequirements

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate
• Helicopter instrument rating
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours
• 1,500 Helicopter Hours
• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours
• 500 Turbine Helicopter Hours
• 100 hours night unaided, or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided
• 230 pound weight limit with flight gear

Preferred Qualifications

• B206 Aircraft Experience
• High School Diploma/Equivalent or Higher
