Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is hiring a Helicopter Pilot to provide medical air transport services. You will work with a team of medical experts to move patients safely and efficiently, ensuring aircraft readiness and regulatory compliance.

Requirements include FAA rotorcraft commercial certificate, instrument rating, Class II medical, 2,000 total flight hours, 1,500 helicopter hours, and 100 night hours. On‑duty housing and sign‑on/retention bonuses accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate.
• Helicopter instrument rating required.
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours minimum.
• 1,500 Helicopter Hours minimum.
• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours minimum.
• 500 Turbine Helicopter Hours minimum.
• 100 hours night unaided or 50 unaided with 100 hours aided.

Responsibilities

• Transport customers with a team of medical experts.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches and comply with FAR and Air Evac Lifeteam requirements.
• Maintain accurate AEL and regulatory documentation and records.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift-change information to the next pilot and team following protocols.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.

Salary range: $119,825 - $131,807 including 35% Geo Modifier

$15K Sign on Bonus, subject to eligibility

Retention Bonus: $40,000 after 3 years plus additional retention bonuses once completed

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and Air Evac Lifeteam requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties
• Maintain accurate AEL and regulatory documentation and record keeping
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
• Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording Air Evac Lifeteam change board details
• Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training

Minimum Requirements

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate

• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours

• 230 pound weight limit with flight gear

Preferred Qualifications

• EC135 Aircraft Experience
