Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is hiring a Helicopter Pilot to join our medical air transportation team in the West Virginia region. You will collaborate with medical experts to transport patients safely while ensuring aircraft readiness and compliance with FARs and company policies.

Requirements include a rotorcraft commercial certificate, instrument rating, Class II medical, and substantial helicopter hours; the role offers a competitive, geo-modified salary and on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• Must hold FAA rotorcraft commercial certificate.
• Instrument rating required.
• FAA Class II Medical certificate required.
• Minimum 2,000 total flight hours.
• Minimum 1,500 helicopter hours.
• Minimum 1,000 helicopter PIC hours.
• Minimum 1,000 turbine helicopter hours.
• Minimum 200 helicopter night flight hours.
• Weight limit: 230 lb (including gear).

Responsibilities

• Work with a medical team to transport patients safely.

• Maintain accurate Air Evac Lifeteam documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift change information per procedure.

We’re hiring a Helicopter Pilot to provide medical air transportation services to Air Evac Lifeteam’s customers. Safety is a key pillar of our services.

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and Air Evac Lifeteam requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties
• Maintain accurate Air Evac Lifeteam and regulatory documentation and record keeping
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
• Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording Air Evac Lifeteam change board details
• Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training

Minimum Requirements

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate
• Helicopter instrument rating
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours
• 1,500 Helicopter Hours
• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours
• 1,000 Turbine Helicopter Hours
• 200 Helicopter Night Flight Hours (Aided or Unaided)
• 230 lb Weight Limit (including flight gear)
