Old World Industries, LLC. is seeking a skilled forklift operator to load, unload, and blend products, manage packaging areas, and supervise temporary workers during large projects at our Prattville, AL facility.

The role emphasizes safety, 6S methodology, and strong teamwork, with responsibilities including inventory control, quality checks, and coordinating with supervisors to implement continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be a certified forklift operator.
• Proficient PC skills, including MS Word and MS Excel.
• Experience leading and managing others.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with co-workers.
• Ability to handle group and individual work assignments.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Understanding of written instructions and ability to complete assignments efficiently.
• Good judgment and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate packaging component rework and disposition of damaged items.
• Lead packaging quarantine area and recovery team.
• Monitor inventory and disposition of non-conforming items.
• Transport product to quarantine area for disposal.
• Drive forklift or assist forklift drivers as needed.
• Sort product to minimize salvage.
• Support continuous improvement activities with supervisors.
• Oversee temporary workers during large-scale dumping or rework.
