Location: Luzianne Tea Manufacturing Plant at 5601 Chef Menteur Highway, New Orleans, LA 70126
1st Shift Hours: Monday-Thursday 4:30am-3:00pm

Job Summary: Our Production Line Operators are responsible for safely operating production equipment within the manufacturing facility and ensuring that quality products are produced timely and efficiently.

• Operates production equipment efficiently according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and food/employee safety requirements and guidelines to meet daily labor and waste goals as planned and driven by management.
• Utilizes Digital Production System (Redzone) to track downtime, perform quality compliance documents, and communicate with support functions.
• Completes change overs for their assigned equipment and/or production line.
• Learns and maintains customer standards for product specifications and acceptable quality.
• Reads and follows instructions regarding daily expectations, requirements, or specifications.
• Accurately completes all quality, traceability, and production paperwork.
• Reports any product deficiencies, food or safety concerns to supervisor.
• Performs minor equipment adjustments to ensure equipment is operating optimally.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation, assists with product change overs, and ensures all tools are accounted for.
• Ensures the operation is providing food-safe, quality products which meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of machine operating/production experience preferred.
• Technical skills include the ability to start and stop equipment, complete a changeover, and operate one piece of equipment.
• Interpersonal skills include good verbal and written communication, good time management skills, and the ability to follow rules and directions.
• Leadership skills include a positive attitude, being a team player, and self-leadership.
