Job summary

Job description

This role is an onsite role: the position requires full‑time presence at our Oxford, NC office.

At Revlon’s largest manufacturing facility in Oxford, NC, the line operator sets up, runs, maintains, and monitors the manufacturing line to ensure production goals and quality control measures are met. The operator is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of equipment in accordance with Revlon company practices and policies.

Major Duties
  • Preparing machines and production areas before each shift.
  • Operating and adjusting machinery throughout the production process.
  • Conducting regular maintenance checks and cleaning of equipment.
  • Reporting any malfunctions or abnormalities in the production process.
  • Setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery and production lines.
  • Monitoring equipment for functionality, performing adjustments, and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime.
  • Ensuring that all safety protocols and operational procedures are followed.
  • Maintaining accurate records of production quantities, times, equipment status, and issues encountered.
  • Operating equipment in accordance with Safety, Quality, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and Standard Work Guidelines.
  • Ensuring 5S standards are achieved.
  • Obtaining batch from Managers or designees and ensuring clean & sanitization dates with expiry.
  • Bill of material verification to bulk and components on the line (line clearance).
  • Ensuring batch code of bulk and code on primary unit match.
  • Ensuring detection devices are working properly and documenting them.
  • Reviewing RPPS and ensuring adherence.
  • Completing Self‑Audit Reports – (Temps, Torques, Weights, etc.)
  • Performing repetitive detailed sample collections.
  • Conducting in‑process quality checks and taking necessary actions for non‑compliance.
  • Creating barcode labels and yield tags; pulling Beginning, Middle, and End samples according to barcode label.
  • Performing Crane Hoist and Sling inspections and documenting.
  • Performing material handling duties as required on the Operations sheet; informing Manager of safety, quality or personnel issues.
  • Informing Mechanic if adjustments need to be made to conform to quality or safety standards.
  • Starting and stopping the process; completing scrap sheet at end of run; applying safety and GMP/housekeeping requirements.
  • The training of, and ongoing communication with, line personnel in culling rejects from quality pieces.
  • Assisting with the training of new employees in duties and responsibilities.
  • Performing minor repairs and adjustments to machinery to maximize uptime.
Knowledge & Skills Required
  • Basic knowledge of hand tool usage (screwdriver, wrench, pliers, allen wrench, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team‑oriented environment as well as independently.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal processes appropriately.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Ability to write legibly.
  • Physical ability to stand/walk for 8 hours a day, climb ladders and/or steps.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to push and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs. and maneuver bulk drums weighing up to 400 lbs.
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., email, data entry).

Shift Hours: 1st Shift (7:00 am – 3:30 pm) | 2nd Shift (3:00 pm – 11:30 pm) | 3rd Shift (11:00 pm – 7:30 am)

Base pay range is $20.00 per hour with a $1.10 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd Shift positions. Pay may vary based on skills, experience, job‑related knowledge, and geographic location. Certain positions may also be eligible for short‑term incentives.

Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits. Employees also receive 3 weeks of vacation (pro‑rated for the first year of employment) and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Vacation depends on role.
