Job description

Onsite Role: This role requires full-time presence at our Oxford, NC office.

Overview

This role will guide, mentor, train, and coach direct reports to be productive, engaged, and quality contributors within their team and the overall functional group. The supervisor will communicate, assign, and monitor department goals, activities, quality of work, and objectives to all team members, and also track and report any shortfalls in the progress of the production schedule.

Other Critical Responsibilities
  • Lead and monitor daily production for assigned value stream.
  • Supervise and lead the activities associated with filing and assembly by providing work direction, production schedules, training for continuous improvement, and mentoring for assigned associates.
  • Understand and implement the business unit policies and procedures driving associates with an emphasis on safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor compliance to ensure orders are completed on time and desired finished goods inventory levels are maintained.
  • Perform data collection and provide metrics and reporting as required.
  • Communicate daily with Operations Manager proactively providing solutions to problems and concerns.
  • Serve as backup to the Operations Manager of the BU (as needed).
Responsibilities
  • Management
    • Assign associates to the line, communicate necessary pass up/pass down information for proficient shift handoff, and ensure employees work safely and comply with plant safety rules and GMP guidelines.
    • Lead improvement projects and initiatives aligned with business strategic imperatives, including safety, employee morale, quality, waste reduction, direct & indirect labor costs, and OEE.
    • Own line assessment: evaluate current state, establish targets, develop glide paths, and execute action items to achieve results.
    • Establish staff and manpower requirements to meet scheduled workloads and ensure activities across all shifts comply with expectations and policies. Ensure equipment is operational and meets tolerances.
    • Resolve production issues, drive continuous improvement, reduce waste, minimize changeovers and machine downtime, and define job duties and expectations for all employees.
    • Implement timely corrective action when needed.
    • Interface with functional areas (HR, Quality, WHSE, Planning, Payroll, etc.) and facilitate employee communication meetings as needed, balancing full-time and temporary associates.
    • Maintain good associate relations and morale.
    • Attend meetings to support business needs and validate line performance during NPD trials.
  • Development of People
    • Strive to make the Oxford site a great place to work by proactively developing people (cross training, projects).
    • Address all issues, concerns, and disciplinary actions promptly and effectively.
    • Innovation – provide challenges, changes, ideas, and suggestions to drive the organization forward.
    • Provide and facilitate training as needed.
    • Ensure all records are accurate and maintained within guidelines.
    • Enforce plant procedures and policies and drive accountability for non‑compliance.
    • Facilitate employee feedback and conduct annual performance reviews for subordinates.
  • Quality
    • Ensure associates efficiently produce product that complies with Revlon and governmental guidelines and specifications.
    • Investigate and determine root causes and corrective actions for product out of specifications.
    • Engage with Quality to resolve problems or issues affecting responsibilities.
    • Maximize line uptime and throughput through efficient use of associates and equipment.
    • Ensure product is produced at the highest quality standards.
    • Review scrap and potential quality concerns and provide resolution.
    • Review and sign appropriate paperwork, ensuring all necessary documents are completed promptly and efficiently.
    • Work with quality resources to implement new requirements due to new products or regulations.
  • Financial
    • Responsible for operational financial aspects of the shift: control of labor (direct and indirect), non‑standard costs (rework, first‑pass yield issues), and material performance to standards while minimizing waste.
Qualifications
  • Prefer a 4‑year BS or BA in an engineering discipline; other areas of study are considered with appropriate experience and 5‑7 years of relevant experience required.
  • Proven track record of supervising associates in a production environment, preferably in drug and/or cosmetic sectors.
  • Knowledge of production equipment, safe operating techniques, product capabilities, and troubleshooting methods.
  • Strong teamwork characteristics with the ability to motivate, communicate, and proactively develop associates.
  • High level of personal commitment, motivation, and intensity with demonstrated leadership in a production environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in an FDA‑GMP environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Shift hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm

Revlon is unable to sponsor or transfer employment visas for this role; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa support.

The base pay range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 per year; however base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job‑related knowledge, and geographic location. Certain positions may also be eligible for short‑term incentives as part of total compensation.

Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits. Employees are covered by the company‑paid basic life insurance policy and company‑paid short‑term disability insurance (benefit commences upon hire and allows for a portion of base salary for up to 26 weeks if disabled). Other benefits include long‑term disability, supplemental life insurance, flexible spending accounts, critical illness insurance, group legal, identity theft protection, and more. Employees may also enroll in our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan.

Employees receive 3 weeks of vacation (pro‑rated based on date of hire for the first year) and twelve paid holidays each calendar year. Vacation policy may vary by role.
