Line Operator 2 - Night Shift - Entry Level Position

Position Summary

The Line Operator 2 serves as the front line of the production operation, responsible for basic extrusion line operations and assisting with training new hires. They will expand their knowledge by learning to operate various production lines and develop a deeper understanding of quality standards. The role requires following all safety and operational procedures to ensure efficient and safe production.

Responsibilities
  • Perform basic duties such as loading cores, pulling trim, adjusting roll widths, preparing finished products, inspecting quality, and reporting on computer systems.
  • Prepare products for shipping, including packaging, wrapping, and moving skids using manual and electric pallet jacks.
  • Begin training on different production lines and areas to increase operational knowledge.
  • Train on quality standards, perform quality testing, and document results.
  • Assist in maintaining continuous line operation, coordinate shift changes, and report issues.
  • Support training of new operators.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Proven proficiency in previous Line Operator roles.
  • Technical and mechanical aptitude for machinery and basic hand tools.
  • Ability to use measurement tools accurately.
  • Sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in environments with static electricity, use visual and manual dexterity, stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 55 lbs regularly, and operate PPE as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in plastics manufacturing preferred.
Work Environment

Indoor environment with hot/cold temperatures, moderate noise, and PPE usage required.
