Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking a Line Operator trainee who will spend 3 months at the corporate headquarters in Korea, learning and earning while on-site before transitioning to a full-time role in Cedar City, Utah.

The position focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving production equipment, including preventive maintenance, automation systems, robotics operation, and spare parts management, with Korean language skills a plus.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or technical certification in related field.
  • Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair equipment failures and abnormal conditions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to improve reliability and uptime.
  • Investigate issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain maintenance records and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Support automated production systems and robotics operations.
  • Coordinate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes.
  • Read electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.

Job Description

The training positions are 3 months at corporate global headquarters in Korea. Candidates will meet corporate management, expand career knowledge, and be paid to learn while spending 3 months on-site at the Korean worldwide headquarters.

The Line Operator is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations. This position supports preventive maintenance activities, automation systems, robotics operation, spare parts management, and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize equipment performance and production efficiency. Korean language skills are a plus.

Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Asset Management
  • Diagnose and repair equipment failures and abnormal operating conditions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) activities to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Investigate equipment issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain equipment maintenance records and documentation.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate the procurement of maintenance materials.
  • Support equipment asset management activities.
Automation & Equipment Improvement
  • Support automated production systems and Smart Factory initiatives.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot robotic and automated equipment.
  • Participate in equipment modifications, upgrades, and overhaul projects.
  • Recommend and implement equipment and process improvements to increase productivity and quality.
  • Assist in the installation, commissioning, and validation of new production equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
Technical Support & Safety
  • Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Perform root cause analysis for equipment failures and production issues.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors when required.
Follow All Company Safety Policies And Regulatory Requirements

Support continuous improvement and 5S activities throughout the production area.

Required Qualifications
  • Technical certification related to electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance.
  • Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with industrial robots and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience.
  • Preventive maintenance and equipment improvement experience.
  • Experience working in a Smart Factory or highly automated manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to use 2D/3D CAD software.

Education

Experience
  • 3+ years (preferred) equipment maintenance, automation, or manufacturing operations
  • Ability to work overtime or respond to equipment issues when necessary.
