Job summary

Chugach Electric Association in Anchorage, Alaska is seeking a Senior Supervisor for Line Operations to plan, coordinate and oversee field crews in transmission and distribution work. You will ensure safety, manage schedules, budgets, and compliance with NESC/OSHA standards while coordinating outages and capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, or related discipline.
• Five years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in electric utility operations.
• Experience in a union environment preferred.
• OSHA Competent Person Excavation & Trench certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and manage maintenance and construction activities for transmission and distribution lines.
• Conduct field audits and inspections of sites, equipment, and facilities for safety and quality.
• Coordinate outages and switching with System Control/Dispatch.
• Develop manpower utilization plans and staffing for events and outages.
• Prepare and present budgets and manage contracts and CBAs.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to line crews and ensure compliance with safety standards.
