Job summary

Eversource Energy is hiring a Fully Qualified Line Mechanic for Central Projects in New Britain, CT. This role participates in the construction, operation, and maintenance of the electric system, with a 4-10s schedule and reporting at New Britain, based at Cheshire or South Windsor sites.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of line mechanic experience, a preferred CDL and clean driving record, and the ability to climb poles and direct others. Overtime and emergency work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred CDL and clean driving record.
• Must be able to perform the essential duties of a Line Mechanic.
• Able to interact, communicate, and direct other workers.
• Available for overtime and emergency work and live within one hour of the reporting location.

Responsibilities

• Construct, operate, and maintain the electric system.
• Install, repair and maintain overhead and underground lines and equipment.
• Work aloft on poles or on ground structures; climb with Lineman's climbers.
