Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Line Maintenance Technician 2 in San Diego, CA to install, maintain and repair line manufacturing equipment. You will diagnose failures, replace defective components, and document maintenance logs while traveling 30% to 50% between sites.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of relevant experience performing maintenance or repair on manufacturing, industrial, or laboratory equipment.
  • Experience reading and interpreting detailed technical drawings, diagrams, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Experience using standard electronic test equipment and common hand/power tools.
  • Experience troubleshooting equipment issues and completing repairs using established procedures.

  • Must be able to travel 30%–50% between sites.

What You'll Get To Do
  • Performs installation, maintenance, and repairs on line manufacturing equipment.

  • Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs. Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment.
  • May redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment.
  • May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required.
  • Must be able to Travel 30%-50% between sites.

We are looking for you to join our team as a Line Maintenance Technician 2 based out of San Diego, CA.

Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of relevant experience performing maintenance or repair on manufacturing, industrial, or laboratory equipment.
  • Experience reading and interpreting detailed technical drawings, diagrams, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Experience using standard electronic test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes) and common hand/power tools.
  • Experience troubleshooting equipment issues and completing repairs using established procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments.
  • Experience supporting optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems on manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience estimating labor and material needs and preparing maintenance-related requisitions.
  • Prior experience within Northrop Grumman or a similar large manufacturing organization.

Primary Level Salary Range: $51,400.00 - $85,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
