Job summary

A leading utility services company in Houston is seeking a candidate with line locating experience to ensure proper device functionality and adhere to company policies. Responsibilities include following safety protocols and communicating effectively with supervisors. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and holds a valid driver’s license. This position offers hourly pay plus overtime and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • 1 to 2 years line locating experience is preferred.
  • Able to read and comprehend utility drawings and/or maps.
  • 1 year of computer skills preferred.
  • Must have/maintain a valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screening.

  • Update supervisor/manager of any issues or problems in the field.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure that all devices are properly working daily.
  • Ability to read and understand Utility Drawings and maps
  • Ability to walk 3 to 5 miles a day if needed carrying equipment.
  • Ability to work in adverse conditions.
  • Ability to learn new devices.
  • Update supervisor/manager of any issues or problems in the field.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • 1 to 2 years line locating experience is preferred.
  • Able to read and comprehend utility drawings and/or maps.
  • 1yr Computer Skills (Preferred).
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

  • Schedule: M-F and available for weekend work as needed.

Pay: Hourly plus Overtime and a company provided vehicle.
