Job summary

Gellert Global Group in Wisconsin seeks a Line Lead to support the Shift Supervisor, oversee daily production, and ensure accurate data entry into the company system. You will assist across multiple production areas, lead line teams, and uphold GMP, SOP, and OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred.
  • 4+ years of manufacturing or food production experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with focus, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team and lead by example.
  • Strong verbal communication skills to convey instructions and expectations.
  • Proficient in general computer applications and ERP systems.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to learn, perform, and support multiple job functions as required by operations.
  • Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production line to meet throughput, goals, and schedules per policies.
  • Prepare production line for daily operations, coordinating equipment setup.
  • Assist Shift Supervisor with pre/post-shift safety meetings and goals.
  • Communicate daily production objectives, staffing plans, and updates to teams.
  • Assist with daily production postings and closeout procedures per controls.
  • Ensure accurate entry of production data for reporting, payroll, and costing.
  • Collaborate with QA to maintain GMPs, SOPs, and sanitation standards.
  • Enforce GMPs, SOPs, and OSHA safety requirements for a safe workplace.
  • Monitor safety, identify hazards, and report incidents per OSHA guidelines.
  • Identify, document, and report nonconformances in materials or finished goods.
  • Inform Shift Supervisor of maintenance concerns and file work orders.
  • Coordinate with Shipping/Receiving to ensure material availability.
  • Schedule staffing and assignments to ensure coverage and efficiency.
  • Escalate issues to Line Lead Supervisor/Production Manager as needed.
  • Perform other duties to support operations and compliance objectives.
  • Coach and model company values, safety, and quality, promoting teamwork.
  • Support continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, quality, safety, and workflow.

The Line Lead supports the Shift Supervisor in daily operations and oversees their manufacturing line. This role is responsible for entering production data into the company’s software system, maintaining the quality assurance documentation, and ensuring operational accuracy. The Line Lead also supervises all Line Leads Assistance and provides guidance and support across multiple production areas.

Essential Functions
  • Oversee daily production line to ensure established throughput, production goals, and schedules are met in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare production line for daily operations, including coordinating equipment setup and ensuring readiness prior to start-up.
  • Assist Shift Supervisor with pre-shift and post-shift meetings to communicate safety expectations, production goals, and performance feedback.
  • Communicate daily production objectives, staffing plans, and operational updates to production teams and management.
  • Assist or perform required daily production posting and closeout procedures in accordance with internal controls and audit standards.
  • Ensure accurate, complete, and timely entry of production data, including crew counts and production start/stop times, to support reporting, payroll, and financial tracking.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and sanitation standards.
  • Enforce adherence to GMPs, SOPs, and OSHA safety requirements, ensuring a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
  • Monitor general safety compliance, identify potential hazards, and report safety concerns or incidents to management in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
  • Identify, document, and report nonconformances or deficiencies related to raw materials, in-process materials, or finished goods.
  • Inform Shift Supervisor of Maintenance concern and fill out work order, monitor progress.
  • Coordinate with Shipping and Receiving to ensure material availability and support daily production requirements.
  • Coordinate staffing levels and personnel assignments to maintain adequate coverage and operational efficiency.
  • Escalate operational, safety, quality, or personnel issues to the Line Lead Supervisor/Production Manager in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational and compliance objectives.
  • Coaching/modeling company values, safety expectations, and quality standards while promoting teamwork and accountability.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and workflow.

  • Ability to comply with all safety, GMP, and company policies and procedures.
