Job summary

Cook Winston-Salem is seeking a Line Leader in Winston-Salem, NC to guide production personnel across fabrication, assembly, packaging and inspection of medical devices. You will train staff, maintain quality, and ensure SOPs/QSPs are followed daily.

Responsibilities include prioritizing department work with the supervisor, overseeing operations, and stepping in as supervisor when needed, while strictly adhering to safety and attendance policies.

Qualifications

• Must read/write/understand product documentation and drawings in English.
• Ability to use small measuring devices and gauges.
• Good organizational skills and basic computer entry skills.

• Train employees to make product in your department at least 80% of the time.
• Learn and qualify to make product on all operator qualified processes in the department.
• Meet with the department Supervisor daily to set priorities and relay information to staff.
• Assist Supervisor in overall department operations and functions.
• Ensure SOPs and QSPs are followed by employees and maintain quality standards.
• Assume Supervisor responsibilities in their absence.
• Perform other duties and special projects as necessary.
• Strictly adhere to safety requirements and maintain regular attendance.

Overview

The Line Leader at Cook Winston-Salem is responsible to lead and assist production personnel in the fabrication, assembly, packaging and/or inspection of medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Work with others - looking for ways to help them, positively communicate Cook standards for quality and integrity
• Train employees to make product, and make product in your department(s) at least 80% of the time
• Learn and get qualified to make product on all operator qualified process in the department
• Meet with the department Supervisor on a daily basis to determine department priorities and relay information to department personnel
• Assist Supervisor in overall operations and functions of department
• Assist and oversee controlled manufacturing procedures, the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality System Procedures (QSPs) appropriate to your area are being followed by employees
• Assume Supervisor responsibilities in their absence
• Perform other duties and special projects as necessary
• Must strictly adhere to safety requirements
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance

Qualifications

• Ability to read/write/understand product documentation and specification drawings written in English
• Ability to use small measuring devices and gauges
• Basic computer entry/retrieval skills
• Good organizational skills

Physical Requirements

• Good manual dexterity
• Majority of the day is spent in a "controlled" environment
• Ability to occasionally lift approximately 5 - 50 lbs
• Limited exposure to hazardous chemicals used in the manufacture of the product
