Job summary

Perry's Ice Cream in the United States is seeking a Line Haul Driver to support our transportation team. The role requires a valid Class A license and clean driving record; doubles certification is preferred and training is provided for experienced drivers.

You will line haul products to multiple cities, work Sunday through Thursday evenings (roughly 4pm–8pm), with potential overtime or overnight travel. Expect a collaborative team environment and a focus on safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A License with clean driving record.
• Doubles Certification preferred – training/certification for an experienced driver will be provided.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs., bend, twist, climb, push & pull up to 500 lbs in cold environments.
• Maintain cleanliness of truck and cab.
• Flexibility to work irregular schedules, including holidays and weekends.
• Ability to stay overnight in a sleeper cab.
• Commitment to safe driving practices and teamwork.
• Good written, verbal, communication, and map reading skills.

Responsibilities

• Line haul products primarily to Erie, PA; Pittsburgh, PA; Syracuse, NY; Elmira, NY; Toledo, OH; Cincinnati, OH; Columbus, OH; or Cleveland, OH.
• Collaborate with delivery drivers, line haul assistants, and warehouse teams.
• Work Sunday–Thursday evenings, typically 4pm–8pm, with possible holiday shifts and earlier start times at some locations.
• Flexibility to travel overnight for certain routes.
• Assist in transferring product to distribution trucks as part of a team.

Overview

The regular work schedule is Sunday - Thursday, start times could vary (2nd and 3rd shift blend). Pay starts at $23/hour for training, then $24/hour after training (training could be as little as few weeks), pay could vary depending on experience. Advancement up tp $29/hour.

About the Role:

As a core member of ourtransportation team, you will be expected to:

• Work independently to line haul products primarily toto Erie, PA;Pittsburgh, PA;Syracuse, NY; Elmira, NY; Toledo,OH; Cincinnati, OH, Columbus, OH; or Cleveland, OH.
• Work withdynamic teams, including: delivery drivers, line haul assistants, and warehouse teams.
• Typically workSunday thru Thursday eveningsleaving approximately between 4pm & 8pm. This may include working on the evening ofsome holidays. Some locations require leaving earlier in the day.
• Flexability to travel overnight for some locations.
• Work as part of a team with a line haul assistant transfer product to distribution truck.

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid Class A License with clean driving record;
• Doubles Certification preferred – (will facilitate doubles training/certification for an experienced driver);
• Physical ability to consistently and repetitively: lift & carry up to 75 lbs., bend, twist, climb,push & pull a store dolly with up to 500 lbs. of product, and ability to work in a coldenvironment of -10º to -20ºF;
• Maintain cleanliness of truck and truck cab;
• Flexibility to work irregular schedule, including holidays and weekends, if needed;
• Ability to stay overnight in a sleeper cab;
• Accountability to exercise safe behavior;
• Commitment to work as part of a team;
• Good written, verbal, communication, & map reading skills.
