Job summary

SentryWorld is seeking a Full-time Line/Grill Cook II to join PJ's culinary team at our Stevens Point location. You will work across grill, saute, fry, dessert, pastry and salad stations, preparing foods per recipe and maintaining kitchen standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years of cooking experience, and the ability to obtain a State Food Handlers Certification; flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Previous cooking experience in a restaurant facility.
• Ability to obtain the State Food Handlers Certification.
• Ability to prepare food from recipes, commensurate with incumbent's skill level.
• Self-motivated.
• Ability to multi-task and follow written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to operate a wood fired grill.
• Hours may require night, weekend and holiday work.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Prepare foods specific to prescribed recipes.
• Responsible for setting up food preparation lines including grill, saute, Fry cook, desert, pastry and salad lines.
• Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare menu items.
• Prepare a variety of foods, meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and cold food items.
• Arrange sauces and supplementary garnishes for allocated station.
• Serve menu items compliant with established standards.

What it Takes

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
