Job summary

South Suburban Parks and Recreation is seeking an Arts & Enrichment Line Dance Instructor I-II (Part-Time, Non-Exempt) to teach line dance and related arts classes across several district locations. Classes occur on weekdays with possible evenings and weekends; strong communication and safety practices are expected.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience teaching line dance; AED/CPR and first aid are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have at least one year of teaching experience in line dance.
• Experience teaching art and/or enrichment is preferred.
• Must have at least two years of professional teaching experience in line dance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and instruct art and enrichment classes for participants of varying skill levels.
• Maintain course records and rosters.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, patrons and coordinators.
• Promote arts and enrichment programming and ensure supplies are available.
• Travel to multiple locations to teach line dance classes and events.
