Job summary

Alcon's Houston Manufacturing Facility seeks a Line Coordinator to lead production efforts, schedule allocation, and on-the-floor problem solving. This onsite role emphasizes safety, quality, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Supply, and Sales.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma, 3 years’ relevant experience, and strong English communication. Expect shift work (Mon-Thu, 4:15 PM–2:45 AM) with 0–10% travel. Onsite positions with robust benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience and ability to mentor on the production floor.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issues.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
• Fluent English communication on the floor and in reports.

Responsibilities

• Assist with production activities including assembly, material processing, packaging, and quality inspections to meet schedules and specs.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, and other departments to develop production schedules and allocate resources.
• Supervise work areas and key metrics (DBH, WIP, OEE, outputs) for performance tracking and reporting.
• Lead or participate in quality investigations and Lean/Six Sigma continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support daily equipment maintenance, downtime recovery, and troubleshoot production or quality issues as needed.
• Ensure compliance with GxP regulations and SOPs with accurate documentation and training.
• Provide on-the-floor leadership, mentoring, and training to production technicians and supervise rotations.
• Facilitate shift handoffs with clear communication and readiness for next shift.
