Job summary

Tatte Bakery & Café is seeking Line Cooks in Boston to join a fast-paced kitchen that prepares dishes per recipes inspired by Eastern Mediterranean and Levant traditions.

You will execute techniques, prep ingredients, and operate ovens, grills, and other equipment while keeping safety, cleanliness, and presentation standards. Flexibility for weekends and evenings is required.

• Experience in a busy kitchen preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Execute techniques under the direction of the Sous Chef and Executive Chef.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards.
• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
• Ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
• Set up and break down workstations and prepare for upcoming shifts.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen surfaces, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Assist chefs in preparing food and supporting additional culinary tasks as needed.

Our Line Cooks prepare dishes according to Tatte recipes and standards while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and food safety across every shift. We expect our savory team members to:

• Maintain high standards for quality, cleanliness, and organization

• Have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, afternoons, and evenings
• Ideally, have prior experience working in a fast paced kitchen environment

Summary of Line Cooks’ Primary Responsibilities

• Must be able to lift, move, and carry 50+ lbs
• Must be able to stand and work on feet for 8+ hours per day
