About the Opportunity:
Chelsea Piers Golf Club is seeking to hire a part-time Line Cook to join our Water Hazard Team. Located in the Chelsea Piers Golf Club lobby on Pier 59, the Water Hazard Bar + Lounge offers a variety of signature cocktails, draft beers, and seasonal small plates for everyone to enjoy. The schedule for this position is evenings and weekends.

As the Line Cook you will be expected to:

  • Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking (guac, salsa, vegetables, etc.)
  • Maintain a clean working area
  • Ensure great presentation of dishes
  • Work well as a teammate in a high volume, fast-paced, positive working environment
  • Ensure all food items are labeled and stored properly

Qualifications

About You:
You are friendly, professional, and punctual. You have:

  • Proven experience as a cook in a high-volume restaurant
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Willingness to take on other tasks
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 poundsor more
  • Ability to be on your feet for hours at a time
  • Abilityto work on weeknights, weekends, and holidays
