Pay Range

This range is provided by Hollywood Casino Morgantown. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — discuss with your recruiter to learn more.

Base Pay Range

$18.00/hr - $18.00/hr

Responsibilities

1. Prepare, expedite, monitor, replenish, and transport food items such as meats, vegetables, soups, and sauces as indicated by production sheets.
2. Report to the Sous Chef at the start of each shift to receive instructions on specials or menu changes.
3. Arrange mise en place according to posted instructions and menu requirements.
4. Communicate station needs, waste, and discrepancies with the supervisor.
5. Prepare and present menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
6. Assist in other kitchen areas as directed by the Sous Chef.
7. Interact professionally and courteously with guests and coworkers.
8. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• One to two years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to respond to guest inquiries or complaints effectively.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and technical procedures.
• Basic math skills.
• Problem-solving and data analysis skills.
• Ability to interpret various instructions (written, verbal, etc.).
• Qualify for a license with the Pennsylvania State Racing Commission and meet credentialing requirements of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
• Work on the casino floor may require a non-gaming credential.

Physical Demands

• Walking 30%, standing 70%, bending and lifting 10% of the time.
• Climbing heights over 10 feet.
• Lifting/moving up to 100 lbs.
• Visual acuity including color and peripheral vision.

Work Environment

• Smoking environment in guest areas and designated non-smoking areas for employees.
• High noise levels.
