Job summary

Flava Wings in Houston, TX is seeking a passionate Line Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team. You will prepare and cook menu items to our recipes, maintain a clean workstation, and ensure food safety during service.

The ideal candidate has food handler certification, the ability to work quickly under pressure, and a team-first attitude. Prior quick-service kitchen experience is preferred. We offer a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement to help you grow with us.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Flava Wings' recipes and standards
• Operate fryers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift
• Monitor temperatures and proper handling/storage of food
• Restock ingredients and prep items to ensure smooth service
• Communicate with team to manage ticket times during rushes
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines per local regulations

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Flava Wings' recipes, portioning, and quality standards


• Operate fryers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently


• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift


• Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper food handling and storage procedures


• Restock ingredients and prep items to ensure smooth, uninterrupted service


• Communicate effectively with team members to manage ticket times during high-volume rushes


• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines in compliance with local regulations

Requirements:

• Food Handler's Certification


• Prior experience in a quick service, fast casual, or high-volume kitchen preferred


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously


• Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment, including fryers
