Join to apply for the Line Cook - Taco Suerte (Full Time) role at Rivers Casino Des Plaines.

Walk-in Interview: Every Wednesday from 12 PM - 2 PM at 2500 E. Devon Ave, Des Plaines, IL 60018. Free parking and shuttle service available.

Essential Job Functions:

• Set up and break down station as per production sheet.
• Prepare and cook items to customer specifications.
• Reheat soups, sauces, and items per menu rotation.
• Ensure excellent presentation of all foods.
• Cook the exact number of items ordered, managing multiple orders.
• Restock station and maintain prep for station and salad bar.
• Meet or exceed daily prep lists.
• Occasional buffet and production cooking responsibilities.

All Cooks, Including Line Cook:

• Maintain high sanitation standards.
• Keep work area free of debris and trash.
• Report to work on time.
• Communicate shortages to Sous Chef.
• Handle deliveries and monitor product freshness.
• Follow FIFO procedures for storage.
• Monitor food temperatures and quality.
• Ensure effective shift communication.
• Stay updated on departmental policies and procedures.
• Prepare recipes and follow production sheets.
• Adhere to departmental rules and side work.
• Provide prompt, professional, and courteous guest service.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Basic knife skills required.
• Illinois Food Handler Certification required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and with urgency.
• Neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
• Flexible schedule including holidays.
