Description

Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the restaurant's menu and specifications. Ensure food is prepared quickly, efficiently, and meets all health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients, follow recipes, and ensure consistency and quality of dishes.
  2. Cooking & Presentation: Cook food to the correct doneness, garnish plates, and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
  3. Food Safety & Sanitation: Follow safety protocols, manage storage, and ensure hygiene standards.
  4. Inventory & Stocking: Monitor supplies, assist with deliveries, and manage stock rotation.
  5. Team Collaboration: Work with kitchen staff and coordinate with front-of-house team.
  6. Equipment Maintenance: Operate kitchen equipment safely.
  7. Quality Control: Maintain food quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction.
Experience & Skills
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen preferred.
  • Knowledge of food prep techniques, safety, and sanitation.
  • Ability to follow recipes, multitask, and work under pressure.
  • Physical stamina for long standing periods and handling kitchen tools.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Education & Certifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to pass the Safe Food Handler Certificate within 60 days.
  • Knowledge of food presentation and good communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and basic computer skills.
Working Conditions
  • Fast-paced environment requiring evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  • Potential exposure to heat, sharp tools, and chemicals.

This is a full-time, seasonal position at Sun Outdoors, Conway, SC, 2nd shift. Flexibility required. Benefits include Paid Sick Time and travel discounts.
