Qualifications

Fuzzies Burgers is seeking Line Cooks to join our team at the following locations:

Forest Hill, MD (Food Truck/Trailer)

Fells Point, MD

Oriole Park at Camden Yards

POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the Line Cook is to perform the full cooking process in a high-volume setting while maintaining quality and consistency using the locations assigned recipes and instructions. This includes stocking assigned workstation, preparing and measuring ingredients, grilling and frying, checking for proper doneness and taste, adjusting seasoning and temperature for best results, and meeting plate presentation standards. In all kitchen locations, fully responsible for all aspects of the cooking station. Ensures that the cooking station and preparation area is meeting all set sanitation guidelines and proper product rotation is being performed.

The Line Cook will report to the Crew Chief on location.

COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION STRUCTURE:

$15.00-$25.00+ per hour (depending on daily tip share)

We incentivize our team through a tip sharing system as a bonus to their base rate (starting at $15.00 per hour)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Setting up and stocking workstation with minimal supervision

Executing menu items from start to finish - including but not limited to preparation of ingredients, cooking, and plating of menu items

Mastering more than one specific station

Honing your existing skills and building new ones by learning new techniques

Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient and smooth operations during peak hours

Maintaining cleanliness of any B.O.H. work areas, including but not limited to refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas

Participating in daily and regular deep cleaning of B.O.H. work areas, including but not limited to refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Must be at least 18 years old

Able to read, speak, comprehend and understand English

Able to talk and hear directions in a loud kitchen environment and follow instructions

2-years of related high-volume food service with multi-tasking experience is preferred

Availability to work days, nights, and weekends in accordance with Fuzzies and Baltimore Orioles schedules, Monday to Sunday

Reliable transportation is a MUST

A passion for food and dedication to customer experience is ideal

Positive attitude is a MUST - professional composure, being a team player, keeping emotions in check, controlling anger, and avoiding aggressive behavior even in difficult situations

Responsible work ethic - this role requires being punctual, dependable, trustworthy, and thorough in completing all work obligations

Ability to stand for extended periods, and lift 30+ pounds

Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization and a strong sense of personal hygiene
