Job summary

Tender Greens in Los Angeles is seeking a Salad Maker who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen and shares a passion for fresh, thoughtfully prepared food. You will help prep cold items, assemble salads to order, and support the line to keep service smooth during busy shifts.

The ideal candidate brings 1+ year of restaurant experience, a friendly, proactive attitude, and a strong sense of teamwork. Your day will mix hands-on prep with maintaining cleanliness and organization across the salad station.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of work experience in a high-volume restaurant
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Warm, authentic, helpful, and efficient nature
• Excellent communication and an outgoing personality
• High level of resourcefulness with initiative; able to work under pressure
• Proactive and resourceful in solving problems

Responsibilities

• Prepare, wash, peel, and cut various foods to be cooked or served
• Prepare all food items to order, following recipes within time limits
• Ensure guest orders are properly portioned and ready to be served
• Inform supervisors if supplies are low or equipment not working
• Carry equipment, food, and utensils to and from storage areas
• Keep equipment, utensils, work areas, and dishes clean
• Store and label foods to prevent spoilage
• Follow all sanitation guidelines
• Ensure safe use of kitchen equipment
• Learn new menu items and dishes
• Perform duties in other kitchen/restaurant areas as assigned

Tender Greens delivers inspired food, friendly service, and great value in a comfortable space. As a Salad Maker, you are responsible for much of the cold food preparation as well as;

• Preparing, washing, peeling, and/or cutting various food to be cooked or served
• Preparing all food items to order, following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits
• Ensuring that guests orders are properly portioned and ready to be served
• Ensuring If supplies are getting low or equipment is not working properly that supervisors have been informed
• Carrying equipment, food supplies, and utensils to and from work and storage areas
• Ensuring that all equipment, utensils, work areas, dishes are clean
• Ensuring that foods are properly stored and labeled in containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage
• Following all sanitation guidelines
• Ensuring complete working knowledge of the safe use of all kitchen equipment
• Becoming familiar with new menu items/dishes
• Encompassing our goal of providing each guest with a truly wonderful experience
• Performing duties in other areas of kitchen and restaurant as assigned
