Job summary

Ginger Cove in Annapolis, MD, is seeking Full-Time or Part-Time Line Cooks to join our Culinary Services team. You'll prepare high-quality meals for residents in a clean, air-conditioned kitchen and help maintain safety standards.

We offer a balanced schedule, competitive pay, a $2,000 sign-on bonus for full-time, $1,500 for part-time, and a supportive team environment where your skills help enhance daily living for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Culinary school degree (preferred but not required).
• Experience in hot and cold food preparation.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English to follow recipes, logs, and procedures.
• Healthcare or senior living experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Professional appearance and a team-first attitude.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking menu items according to recipes and daily menus.
• Assisting with food prep and planning for upcoming meals.
• Plating meals with attention to presentation and portion control.
• Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Monitoring food temperatures and maintaining food safety logs.
• Supporting meal preparation for special events and functions.
• Following all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
