Job summary

Wet Willie's in Austin, TX is seeking a Line Cook/Prep Cook to prepare great food for guests and owners. You will handle daily preparation in the pantry, fry stations, and other kitchen areas.

Responsibilities include setting up stations, following recipes and presentation standards, restocking, maintaining cleanliness and safety, and assisting with cleaning and organization of the kitchen and storage areas. Evening and weekend availability required.

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
  • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
  • Previous prep or line cook experience.
  • Ability to take direction.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized.
  • Food Handlers permit required.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays.
  • Must be able to speak, read and understand basic cooking directions.

The line cooks and prep cooks prepare great food for our guests and owners. They are responsible for the daily preparation of food items in the pantry, fry stations, and other areas of the kitchen.
