Job Description

The Olympic Tavern, Rockford's original neighborhood tavern & restaurant, has been family owned & operated since 1945. We are currently hiring for two talented, motivated line and prep cooks.

We are looking for line/prep cooks with at least two years of experience on fryer and sautee, but we will train the right candidate if you're eager to learn. The right candidate will know how to work clean, be organized, detail-oriented, as well as a fast learner with a sense of urgency. If you do not already have your foodservice sanitation license, you will need to obtain one within 60 days of hiring.

We're looking for someone who can get along with team members and take direction from managers. Duties include setting up and breaking down the kitchen, keeping a clean workspace, stocking, prep, and cooking. Reliability, punctuality, and dependability are essential.

Part-time hours will start, with full-time available after a training/tryout period. Nights and weekend shifts are available, as well as some prep/lunch shifts. Compensation begins at $14/hour or more depending on skill set. Raises and scheduled hours will be based on performance & a 45-day review.
