Department: Kitchen

Reports To: Sous Chef

Job Summary:

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced, high-quality kitchen environment. Working under the direction of the Executive Chef and kitchen management, the Line Cook will ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. This role involves following recipes, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and collaborating with the culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our members and guests. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for cooking, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. A commitment to teamwork and a positive attitude are essential for success in this dynamic role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
  • Line Execution: Manage a specific station on the line during service, ensuring timely and efficient food production during peak hours.
  • Ingredient Management: Assist with the preparation and organization of ingredients, including washing, chopping, and measuring, to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the freshness and quality of all ingredients, reporting any issues to the kitchen management promptly.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety regulations, and ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate food production and communicate effectively during busy service periods.
  • Menu Support: Contribute to menu development by providing feedback on recipes, techniques, and seasonal ingredients.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation, ensuring all supplies are adequately stocked and labeled.
  • Adaptability: Be flexible and willing to assist with various kitchen tasks as needed, including prep work and cleaning.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques, continuously seeking opportunities for personal and professional growth in the kitchen.
