Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Position Type: Part-time, Non-Exempt, Hourly

Reports to: Corporate Chef

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Summary

Seeking experienced line cook to ensure all food served meets the highest quality standards, ensuring menu items are cooked, plated and presented according to the Corporate Chefs specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Manages inventory and may order from food service provider as needed.
  • Assists in preparing, cooking, and seasoning basic food items.
  • Washes, peels, and slices vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients used in salads and plate garnishes.
  • Portions and places food and garnishes on plates.
  • Follows standard kitchen recipes determined by Corporate Chef.
  • Ensures consistency and quality of all prepared food.
  • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of inventory in kitchen and break areas.
  • Maintains clean and sanitary workstations and adheres to management's policies and procedures.
  • Washes dishes
  • Maintains and organizes stockroom daily.
  • Complies with all state and federal health and safety regulations.

Work Environment

This job generally operates in a professional kitchen environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions in the kitchen environment. Job safety needs to be considered the top priority at all times.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Days and hours of work are Monday through Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Additional hours and occasional weekends are required. Must remain flexible with possible additional hours to assist with office gatherings and possible corporate events.

Required Education And Experience

  • Servsafe Certification required (may be obtained after hired).
  • Basic kitchen experience required.
  • Must be able to easily take instructions and be fairly self-sufficient.

Preferred Education And Experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Work Authorization

Must be authorized to work in USA.
