Star Cinema Grill is seeking a Line / Prep Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team. You will set up and stock stations, prep ingredients, and help execute dishes to high standards while maintaining cleanliness and organization.

Job Summary

As a Line / Prep Cook, you’ll play an essential role in delivering an elevated dining experience through quality, consistency, and attention to detail. Working alongside our culinary team, you’ll prepare fresh ingredients and execute dishes to the highest standards while maintaining exceptional presentation, organization, and cleanliness in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Qualifications

• Handle high volume shifts efficiently and effectively
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Familiar with industry's best practices
• Certified in Food Safety
• Aptitude for multi - tasking
• Able to stand for extended periods of time and lift a minimum of 25 lbs
