Join to apply for the Line Cook | Pine Barn Inn role at Shaner Hotels.

  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
  • Create and design new and unique menu items.
  • Assist the Executive Chef in establishing department budgets and adhering to budget guidelines.
  • Ensure all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to hotel standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of all equipment through personal inspection and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Comply with all health, safety, and labor regulations applicable to kitchen areas, staff, and guests.
Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, set up, and provide quality service in all areas of food production for menu items and specials, maintaining organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a line cook or relevant role.
  • Attention to detail and creativity.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary and food safety certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of sanitation, food preparation, baking techniques, and nutrition; safe food handling certification preferred.
  • Effective communication skills with guests, management, and co-workers.
  • Physical stamina to stand long hours and perform repetitive motions.
