Job Responsibilities
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
- Prepare ingredients for cooking (chopping/peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.)
- Execute menu items per recipe specifications.
- Clean up station to ensure an orderly and sanitized environment.
- Monitor ingredient quality and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Ensure food quality and timing standards are met.
- Maintain professionalism with co-workers and guests.
- Rotate all dry, frozen, and chilled products to ensure freshness.
- Monitor stock levels and inform management of needs.
- Report quality or waste issues to supervisor.
- Maintain DHEC standards.
- Date and record all perishable items and dispose of expired products properly.
- Dispose of garbage at shift start and end.
- Report equipment issues to management.
- Foster positive relationships across departments.
- Arrive 15 minutes prior to shift and perform additional duties as assigned.
Safety Responsibilities
- Follow safety guidelines and report hazards or injuries immediately.
- Wear nonslip shoes and follow safety procedures outlined in employee manuals.
- Take personal responsibility for safety daily.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous cooking experience required.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift 50-80 lbs.
- Ability to complete ServSafe Certification.
