Line Cook - Part-Time - Hickory Crawdads

Position Overview

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing foods to be served to guests throughout the venue. The role involves direct contact with the public, such as working on a buffet line or preparing dishes to order. The ideal candidate must maintain excellent attendance and be flexible to work scheduled events as needed.

Compensation

This role offers an hourly rate of $10 to $12. Benefits include a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions. The position remains open until May 9, 2025.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality, fresh food products in a timely manner for guest service.
• Follow company recipes and portioning standards for hot and cold foods.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure excellent service and product delivery.
• Report any maintenance issues with kitchen equipment.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in the work area.
• Monitor food to ensure proper cooking and presentation.
• Portion, arrange, and garnish plates for delivery to guests.
• Consult with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Supervisor on menu planning and food consumption estimates.
• Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cook or prep cook.
• Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment, including broilers, steamers, convection ovens, mixers, meat slicers, and knives.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Possession of a valid food handling certificate if required by law.
