Job summary

Hilton in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is seeking a Part-Time Station Cook to join our Hotels team. You’ll prepare quality dishes, manage guest orders, and work with advanced techniques while keeping a clean, organized station.

You’ll inspect plates, ensure health and safety standards, and assist with training and supervision as needed to deliver memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to designated recipes and quality standards
• Manage guest orders efficiently while ensuring a positive dining experience
• Maintain a strong knowledge of more advanced cooking (e.g., sauces, roasting, grilling, plating) with the possibility of working a station independently as needed
• Inspect all preparations and dishes ahead of serving to ensure they meet quality and presentation standards
• Keep food service stations stocked and sanitary while following proper food handling, storage, and safety protocols
• Manage multiple tickets/orders at once, assist with training, and step in for minor supervisory duties as needed
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member well-being
