Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking an on-call Cook to join the Quadrangle Club culinary team in Chicago. This position supports busy service periods and large groups, performing essential kitchen prep and cooking tasks.

You will assist the Chef with production, maintain a clean, sanitized environment, and ensure ingredients are prepared and stored properly. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment.
• Active Food Handler’s Certification or the ability to obtain it.
• Must be willing to work day, night and weekend shifts.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef in production and fabrication of food products for kitchen preparation, cafeteria, banquet cooking, dining room, and fine dining.
• Maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
• Develop knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods and ensure quality of ingredients.
• Work with a world class culinary team and help minimize food waste through cross utilization.

This individual must be creative, motivated, and passionate about growing their talents in the kitchen! This is an On Call position to help during the busy time and large groups.The Cook assists the Chef in production and fabrication of food products for kitchen preparation, cafeteria, banquet cooking, dining room, and fine dining.
