Job Title: Line Cook
Location: Newaygo Brewing Company, Newaygo, MI
Reports To: Kitchen Manager

Position Summary:
We’re looking for an energetic and dependable Line Cook to help us deliver high-quality meals that enhance our guests’ dining experience. As a key member of our kitchen team, you’ll be responsible for preparing consistent, well-executed dishes with attention to quality, cleanliness, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation & Execution
    • Prepare all menu items accurately and in a timely manner following restaurant recipes and presentation guidelines.
    • Set up and maintain your station according to kitchen standards.
    • Restock ingredients and supplies as needed during your shift.
  • Cleanliness & Safety
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
    • Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures at all times.
    • Understand and safely operate all equipment in your station.
  • Team Contribution
    • Take direction from the Kitchen Manager and collaborate with team members to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
    • Assist in cleaning and organizing the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas.
    • Help foster a supportive, respectful, and team-oriented kitchen culture.
  • Adaptability & Growth
    • Take on additional tasks as requested by leadership.
    • Embrace opportunities to improve and grow with the team.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Prior line or prep cook experience preferred, but we’re happy to train the right person.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to follow directions, stay organized, and perform well under pressure.
  • Mindset: Team-focused, reliable, calm under pressure, and driven to produce high-quality food.
  • Availability: Must be available nights, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Other: Food safety training provided on the job. A great fit will bring curiosity, pride in their work, and a strong desire to contribute to something meaningful in Newaygo and beyond.
