We re hiring for all positions: Dishwashers, line cooks, and prep cooks.

So, who is Dish Society?

By now, you must've heard the tales of our smashing success in Houston. The city couldn't get enough of us, and we scooped up accolades faster than you can down a mimosa flight! From being crowned one of Houston's top 25 restaurants by the Houston Press to snagging the title of the best brunch in all of Texas by USA Today - we nailed it! And guess what? The roots of our genius idea come straight from the minds of Austinites and UT alumni. So, y'all know we're ready to rock Austin, starting with our epic first location in the bustling Mueller development. But hold onto your cowboy hats; we're aiming for total domination, sweeping across Texas and beyond, to every corner of this great nation!

We are what the industry folks refer to as fine fast casual. WTF does that even mean? Well, it means we're a counter service restaurant that delivers a more elevated dining experience not commonly found in other counter service restaurants. This ain t chipotle OK. We are open all day for breakfast lunch and dinner. Guests order from the counter and get their own drinks and sit wherever they want or can sit at the bar and receive full service. We have a full bar serving hand crafted cocktails, local beer, and a tidy wine list. Our best-in-class coffee program rivals the best coffee shops in town. Our chef-driven menu changes seasonally and is composed of the finest and freshest locally sourced ingredients around.

Back of House:

We're looking for folks who can jump between stations making salads, sandwiches, medium rare salmon, egg white omelets, pancakes, and a perfectly cooked chicken breast. Maybe it's one or two of those things, maybe it's all! Bring it! You get to work with locally sourced, fresh, scratch-made ingredients you can be proud to prepare and serve with a seasonally changing menu to keep it interesting.

Job Requirements for Line Cook:
  1. Experience:
    • Previous kitchen experience preferred.
  2. Knowledge and Skills:
    • Strong understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
    • Ability to read and follow standardized recipes.
    • Able to read order screens.
  3. Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and stand for long periods of time.
    • Comfortable working in a high-temperature environment, handling hot kitchen equipment, and working with hot oil, water, and other cooking elements.
    • Ability to bend, reach, and stoop to perform tasks like cleaning and moving equipment.
  4. Availability:
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  5. Health and Safety:
    • Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations. Must obtain a Food Handler Safety Certificate.
    • Ability to safely operate and clean kitchen equipment.
    • Compliance with all company and state health and safety guidelines, including proper hygiene and grooming standards.
  6. Teamwork:
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel.
    • Willingness to take direction and respond positively to feedback.
  7. Additional Attributes:
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
    • High attention to detail, cleanliness, and accuracy in food preparation and presentation.
    • Positive attitude and passion for culinary arts.
